Medial tibial stress syndrome is a common problem in those who do a lot of running as part of their training, especially on the hard roads. It is an overuse injury to the inside of the leg bone where the muscles attach. It is most commonly due to things like poor running technique, poor foot biomechanics or muscle tightness or imbalance.
